Since 1980, Presses for Industry (PFI) has been a leading stocking dealer of used stamping and fabrication machinery as well as CNC and tool room equipment.   The staff at PFI represents over 50 years of experience in buying, selling and evaluating machinery. Our focus is to understand the global used press and equipment market and utilize today's technology in order to fill our customer's needs.

Our facilities include two 40,000 square foot warehouses located in Detroit, Michigan USA that showcase our capabilities and inventory. Customers also utilize these high traffic facilities by selling their machines on our floor through our Consignment Program.   Our headquarters is in a very clean facility with cranes up to 20 ton while our second warehouse has a 40 ton crane for larger machinery. 

In order to meet India's growing demand in the automotive sector, PFI also maintains an office in Pune, India.  We work with the largest stamping companies in India providing them with used machinery from around the world in order to fulfill their needs.

Presses for Industry is also in the business of plant liquidations, appraisals and auctions.  We have handled many tier one and tier tow size facilities as well as smaller facilities.  We are currently working on the appraisal for all the stamping plants for the Tata - Ford Sale of Jaguar and Land Rover.  We have also handled the liquidation of 3 Oxford Automotive plants in Michigan and Indiana and are currently liquidating the Iowa Dura Automotive Systems facility on a consignment basis to sell the major machines.

PFI has over 25,000 stamping and fabricating companies on our global mailing list broken down by every category, including feed lines.  Our international reputation and marketing allows a gateway to sell machinery anywhere it is legal to do so.  This international reach helps offset the slow market in the U.S.  We also have a large used machinery dealer network in the Europe that we work with closely to reach each country to market our surplus.

We are located about 30 minutes north of Detroit Metro Airport and easily accessible by all of the area's major highways. For those coming in via Detroit Metro Airport, PFI has a shuttle service available to transport you to and from our facilities.
